Pay for parking in Moscow using chatbots

Representatives of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure are considering the possibility of paying for parking services with the help of chatbots in popular messengers WhatsApp or Telegram.

However, the city authorities haven’t told about 100% implementation of such a service yet. According to them, to use chatbots as a tool for accepting payments is still too early. But as soon as the capabilities of virtual assistants will expand, they will become yet another mean of payment for parking services.

Dmitry Ufaev, the Advisor to the Head of the Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure, said that the authority is trying to set all channels of communication with drivers to make the procedure of paying for parking services fast, simple and convenient.

Chatbot is one of the most promising technologies for accepting payments, but it still requires some refinement.

Currently, to pay for parking spaces is possible in several ways: with the help of a mobile application, special parking machines, terminals and corresponding application on the website of the “Administrator of the Moscow parking space”.
