Chatbot Kevin insures transactions using blockchain

Spanish company Traity has launched a chatbot Kevin, which insures P2P transactions using blockchain.

Traity focuses on the check of reputation on the network for protecting users against frauds when making transactions. Now the company will use a virtual assistance for this purpose. It was created together with Australian experts from Suncorp.

Chatbot will operate at Craigslist, Gumtree and other trade platforms. If users are going to buy a product, the price of which is up to $100, they can visit Kevin’s website and communicate with it via Facebook messenger. The bot will specify transaction details, and using this data will give the information about seller’s reputation. If user agrees, the transaction will be made. After successful transaction Kevin charges 10% of the payment for its services. If users became a victim of fraud, they will get a compensation amounting to $100.

All information about the transaction is kept in blockchain and can be viewed by any user. In such a way, chatbot Kevin is capable of decreasing the level of fraud in online shopping.
