Aurora Digital Assistant – Microsoft's new medical chatbot

Microsoft in collaboration with Aurora Health Care is developing a new medical chatbot – Aurora Digital Assistant.

The chatbot is going to be an example of how a virtual assistant can be useful to both medical facilities and patients. At the moment, the service is being tested in beta mode together with company partners.

Microsoft plans that the chatbot will help simplify the system of accessing necessary medical data via mobile devices. All Aurora system clients can send various requests, use services of the digital assistant and get information about diseases.

The bot analyzes information from the user and gives recommendations regarding treatment and its duration. In addition, the service lets the client make doctor appointments. Overall, the key function of Aurora Digital Assistant is to listen to the patient, analyze their request and send them to the doctor.
